We came across another program that works to provide those with disabilities access to pleasurable physical activities.
SkiAbility teaches Canadian adults and children with disabilities, such as spinal cord injuries, how to water ski or snow ski. The program’s founders have come up with a variety of alternatives to the usual dual-ski setup such as using a large single ski for those without the use of their legs.
SkiAbility has chapters throughout Canada and even in Ireland. For more information, visitSkiAbility Ottawa, Canada’s largest program.
